3月28日下午，汕头金南实验学校学术报告厅座无虚席，广东以色列理工学院研究生院副院长Elissaios 教授以《从地球到恒星再回到地球》为题，开讲“物质概论”，带领大家探索宇宙奥秘。汕头金南实验学校高一高二的学生代表聆听了讲座。

　　3月28日下午，汕头金南实验学校学术报告厅座无虚席，广东以色列理工学院研究生院副院长Elissaios 教授以《从地球到恒星再回到地球》为题，开讲“物质概论”，带领大家探索宇宙奥秘汕头金南实验学校高一高二的学生代表聆听了讲座。

  Professor Elissaios Stavrou, Associate Dean of Graduate School of GTIIT, delivered a special lecture on the afternoon of March 28th. The academic report hall at Shantou Jinnan Experimental School was packed with eager attendees. The lecture, titled “From Earth to the Stars and Back: an introduction to the states of matter”, led the audience on a journey to uncover the mysteries of the universe. 

　　讲座之前，广东以色列理工学院传媒部李敏主任以图文形式带领同学们回顾了广东以色列理工学院的发展历程，向同学们介绍了广东以色列理工学院的办学情况，鼓励同学们认真求索知识，探究真理，并将广东以色列理工学院的校训“实干圆梦”送给同学们。

  At the beginning of the lecture, Li Min, Director of the Media Department of GTIIT, led the students through a visual presentation, reviewing the development history of the institution and introducing the current educational situation. Li encouraged students to pursue knowledge diligently and seek the truth. She also shared with the students GTIIT’s motto, "Dream it. Do it" .

　　讲座开始，Elissaios 教授用简短的语言介绍了自己的经历，同时向大家介绍他的研究项目：极端条件下的材料他表明旨在通过该实验项目获取更多的钻石之后他以“为什么是极端的热力学条件”为引，从专业角度详细地向同学们介绍了地球内部的压力和温度，继而引出“人为什么能活着”“当地球变冷会发生什么”等一系列问题，与大家探讨在这些极端环境中生命存在的可能性，最后点明“没有液芯=没有磁场=没有生命”，为这些问题画上句号。

  Next, Professor Elissaios Stavrou took the stage. He introduced his research project on materials under extreme conditions. He delved into the details of the pressure and temperature within the Earths core from a professional perspective, and explored the possibility of life in these extreme environments.

　　最后，由Elissaios 教授的三名研究生上台向大家讲解了该项目实验的条件、过程及应用他们生动详细、通俗易懂的讲解给同学们留下了深刻的印象，激发了同学们热爱科学、探究知识的求知欲，赢得了在座同学的热烈掌声。

　　讲座尾声，同学们纷纷举手提问，情绪高昂  Finally, three of Stavrous students also took the stage to explain the details of the project’s experiments. Their vivid, detailed, and easy-to-understand explanations left a deep impression on the students, receiving enthusiastic applause.。

　　讲座的最后，Elissaios教授激励同学们奋发有为，积极进取同学们纷纷表示这次全英文的讲座不仅极大地丰富了知识储备，也深刻地触动了内心的思考At the end of the lecture, Professor Elissaios encouraged students to 。

　　学术讲座深化了同学们对科学的思考，点燃了年轻心灵探索科学、献身科学事业的热情如同夜空中最亮的星，指引着他们去追寻那些还未被发现的奥秘，去实现那些美好的梦想  After the lecture, the students interviewed expressed that the lecture not only enriched their knowledge but also fueled their passion for exploring science,guiding them to pursue undiscovered mysteries and realize their dreams.。

学生听后感高一12班柯以敏：　　讲座中教授通过介绍现阶段科学领域制钻技术及其发展前景和应用领域，给我留下了深刻的印象，让我们更加充分和“近距离”地感受和了解科研过程，广东以色列理工学院及其强大顶尖的研究团队和他们身上所具备的善于探究的科学精神让我对这所学府又增添了几分向往和新的认识。

“Dream it，Do it”是广东以色列理工学院的校训，让我看到了敢于探索、不断创新的探索精神，把“圆梦、求真”二字体现得淋漓尽致，希望两年后我也可以加入这所学校，成为团队中的一员，寻找人生价值实现人生理想。

高一12班林梓涛：　This afternoon, we were so honnored to have a chance to attend the professor’s lecture.We were excited to learn more about the relationship between Earth and pressure.The part about diamond made a deep impression on me.I hope I can go to the GTIIT to learn more from the professor face to face.

高一13班林思彤：　　今天，很荣幸聆听了广东以色列理工学院教授的讲座在讲座中，我学习到了很多专业知识且更加坚定自己的目标首先，广东以色列理工学院的主任对学校的环境、设施、师资、专业等方面的介绍，让我对这所大学有了全面了解。

特别是李主任解读了广以的校训“Dream it.Do it.”，让我感受到大学的青春活力再接下来是Elissaios Stavrou教授的专题讲座教授对我们进行相关专业知识的介绍、讲解和普及今天的讲座我学习到很多，也有了更多的想法与动力、激情，这也将激励我更坚定地朝着目标走！。

高一13班黄衍钊：  It is a great honor to come to this lecture. I have benefited a lot from it. I not only gained an understanding of the beautiful college of Guangdong Israel Institute of Technology, but also saw the research direction and vision of researchers in the cutting-edge field of nano-stone diamonds.The professor and his students gave us a wonderful lecture,in which the introduction about nano-diamonds attracted me most. Each of them had a passion for scientific research, which inspired me to explore science. This lecture also made me realize "The importance of reading ten thousand volumes of books and traveling ten thousand miles ".

高一14班练子贤：　　听完今天的讲座，心情久久不能平静，首先是内心对大学生活的向往与期许，其次教授的和蔼可亲与谆谆教诲也深深打动了我，当我询问教授问题时，他的目光始终注视着我，即便年龄与学识相差甚远也没有摆出高高在上的架子，回答我的问题时语气同样是和蔼随和同时话语中又不乏严谨认真，而且他也告诉我做任何事都应怀着满腔热血，这将会成为我前行路上的动力！

高一14班吴思琪：  Today, I was lucky to attend the lecture given by Professor Elissaios Stavrou from GTIIT. Ms. Li Min told us about the founding history of GTIIT and introduced the style of GTIIT campus. Seeing the pictures and introductions on the PPT, as well as the excellent academic results, I was very impressed, and it gave me more motivation in learning. Professor Elissaios Stavrou introduced the formation of diamonds and the diamond project in their laboratory to us, which made me feel the magic and charm of scientific research. Finally, the professor and his students gave us a Q & A session. The professor said that the current research environment was very competitive, but he encouraged us to find our passion. The lecture was  fascinating, with laughter lingering in the hall. And the most impressive word is “all in”, which really inspired me to be brave to pursue my dream!

高二（11）班吴育涵：　　今天下午参加的讲座让我深深感受到理工科的魅力，广东以色列理工学院的宣传片绽放着独属于大学的特殊光彩，教授以如何制造钻石为切入点，带领我们走向宇宙，体验“手可摘星辰”，再随着钻石流星雨返回地球，完成了一次太空旅行。

广以的师兄师姐还向我们介绍了制造钻石的具体过程与操作，让我领略到化学的奇妙这次讲座让我受益匪浅，感谢学校给予了我们这样独特的科学教育之旅高二（11）班芮梓霖：  It is a great honor to attend the lecture delivered by Professor Elissaios Stavrou from GTIIT. What impressed me most was that the professor took out a shining diamond and explained to us how to make it better and available. The lecture stimulates our imagination and arouses our interest in science, motivating us to explore more scientific mysteries. This is an episode in my life which I will never forget. Hope we can do as the school motto of GTIIT says, "Dream it. Do it."

高二（12）班林畅跃：　　教授在讲座上介绍了钻石的来源、应用和发展前景，通过细致生动的讲解拓展了我们的视野，激发了我们对科学的思考，激励我们不断地探索科学，正如广以的校训：“Dream it，Do it”.

高二（12）班纪佳恩：  Todays lecture gave a significant influence on us. We knew sources, roles and compositions of the diamonds. Besides, the achievements of the GTIIT made me impressive. Its our pleasure to listen to such a fantastic lecture.

高二13班苏伊亭：　　来自广东以色列理工学院的Elissaios Stalron教授带着他的学生给我们一次与“钻石”的邂逅教授向我们展示了如何在实验室“获取”来自地幔层的钻石学长学姐也引领着我们解锁钻石的百般武艺。

经过这堂课，钻石在我眼中不再是价格昂贵的饰品，它是实验台上的主角之一，等着我踏入实验室中去探索广东以色列理工学术院秉承的“实干圆梦”流露出的学术氛围令我心驰神往高二13班许家豪：  It such a privilege to participate in such a wonderful lecture. I have benefited a lot from it. Professor Elissaios Stavrou and his students introduced us an amazing technique that can turn carbons into diamonds in detail. The technique has sharply decreased the difficulty in getting diamonds, showing the potential of Materials Science in improving our live. This lecture has really motivated me to think about how Materials Science can make a difference to human beings. Like what Professor Elissaios Stavrou encouraged us, “Dream it. Do it”, we as the young generation should work hard for our future.
