现代科技日新月异，各种各样的科技产品像Smartphone智能手机, tablet平板电脑，apple watch 智能手表，laptop 手提电脑等等的更新换代都非常的快而与这些科技相关的英文单词也应时而生。

这周的英文系列主题就是关于科技的英文单词和短语，这些单词不仅和我们的日常生活息息相关，也是各类文章杂志书籍常常能看到的单词，并且是很多英文考试的重要考点之一既然我们生在科技发达的年代，英文也必须要跟得上时代！。

现在就来一起来学习吧。

Technology (n.) the use of science in industry, engineering, etc. to invent useful things or to solve problems

科技，技术“techn/techno”是词根，表示“skill技术”的意思“ology”也是词根，表示“study of 关于的学术”的意思在用technology的时候，除非是有特指某种科技，当指普遍科技的时候，。

technology前面是不可以加定冠词the另外technology经常被简写为tech与别的词成组合词比如high-tech 高科技，tech company 科技公司e.g. Technology 。

technology的形容词形式一般名词后缀为“ology”的单词，它的形容词形式都是以“logical”为后缀比如: biology (n.)生物学----biological (adj.)生物的e.g.

Tech-savvy (adj.)someone who knows a lot about computer and technology 精通科技的（人）Tech-savvy是形容词，它是一个合成词。

tech是technology的简写Savvy是“经验丰富的，知识渊博的”意思两个字合起来的意思就是“精通技术的，对科技很在行的”e.g. Ryan is definitely the most  tech-savvy

in our family. Ryan 绝对是我们家里对科技最在行的。

Technophile (n.)someone who loves technology 科技爱好者Technophile是名词，“phile”是名词词根，表示“love 爱”，所以technophile

就是用来表示那些“很迷科技的人”这种人不一定是科技达人，但是一有新的科技产品出来technophile就会很激动兴奋e.g. Jane is a technophile. She knows the best gadgets and what to buy next.。

Jane 是很迷科技的人。她知道什么是最好的电子产品也知道接下来要买什么。

Techie(n.)someone who knows a lot about technology and especially high technology 技术人员Techie是表示那高科技产品的技术人员

e.g. I dont even bother trying to fix things that go wrong on my computer , I leave that to the techies.

我懒得去修复电脑出错的地方，我把它留给技术人员Technophobe (n.)someone who is afraid of technology科技恐惧者也有写成technophobia “phob。

” 是词根，表示 “scare 害怕”，“phobe”是名词后缀，表示“fear 恐惧”而phobia是个单词，其中含有词根phob，phobia作为名词就是“fear 害怕”的意思所以单词如果是以-phobe

或者-phobia结尾的都跟恐惧有关e.g. Ryan thought there would no longer be any technophobe, because everyone uses cellphone these days. Well, he was wrong. Lisa is a technophobe. She thinks that our life is under technology’s control, so she refuses to buy a smart phone. 。

Ryan 认为现在不会有科技恐惧者了，因为现在每个人都用手机。可是他错了， Lisa 就是一个科技恐惧者。她认为我们的生活被科技控制了，所以她拒绝买智能手机。

数字时代也被叫做information age信息时代Digital 表示“数字的”e.g. We are living in a digital age.我们生活在数字时代Digital native。

(n.) someone who was born and raised with technology数字原生代Native是“土生土长”的意思常听到的native speaker就是指母语是英文的人。

所以digital native就是表示出生于数字时代伴随着科技长大的人。

Digital immigrant(n.)people who were born before the advent of digital technology 数字移民Immigrant是“移民”的意思。

digital immigrant是指那些出生比较早，在数字时代之前的人，成年后才接触到科技的人。

Digital footprint(n.)the footprint, the traces that you leave behind on the internet数字足迹Footprint就是“足迹

”的意思我们在互联网留下的各种各样的照片，影像，文章，比如在instagram 上传的照片， weibo 写的感想， blog 写的文章，youtube 上传的视频等等这些我们个人留在网络的纪录就是叫digital footprint
